The ones to watch: three to follow tonight

On a Saturday rammed with top-class sport there is also a long, hot, summer evening of racing to enjoy with meetings at Bellewstown (4.50), Nottingham (5.40) and Carlisle (6.00). We pick out three it could pay to follow . . .
Rumshak Carlisle 6.30
He sounds like the bar you’ve always wanted to open on a Caribbean beach and might be the one to get those dreams rolling in Carlisle’s two-year-old sprint, aptly sponsored by the Glo and Go Tanning Lounge.
Rumshak jumped a path when leading on his debut at York and showed his inexperience again by then wandering to finish fourth.
But it was a good start and in-form trainer Michael Dods looks to have found him a good opportunity in this 5f heat.
Up For Discussion Bellewstown 7.50
Having shown the square root of not very much on his first four starts, the Enda Bolger-trained six-year-old was suddenly in our faces in a Roscommon handicap hurdle last month when moving into contention three flights from home.
His first start in six months ended in disappointment when he fell two out but he was raised just 1lb for that and must have a big chance in another handicap hurdle over a similar trip of 3m.
Delannoy Nottingham 8.45
The numbers 23134213243123 are not some perplexing mathematical sequence but Eve Johnson Houghton’s form figures before Saturday's action.
The trainer sends one to Nottingham, Delannoy, who showed improved form in first-time cheekpieces on his last start at Goodwood in May and should find this 1m2f handicap easier under regular partner Charles Bishop, who has won on both rides for the yard at Nottingham this year.
