Three runners to note at Kempton tonight
There's twilight action at Kempton on Wednesday evening, with an eight-race card commencing at 3.40 and concluding with the 7.10. Racing UK will be showing the action and these three runners could be worth watching out for under the floodlights
Tum Tum shaped with promise on his debut in a Newmarket novice, making decent ground from the rear to finish fifth, and he looks sure to improve with the benefit of that experience under his belt. The step up in trip to a mile from seven furlongs also looks likely to suit based on the way he stayed on once getting the hang of things.
The lightly raced Desert Fox created a good impression on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton last month, powering home down the outside to finish second, and it looks as if there is plenty more to come. In going down by just half a length, Desert Fox, who was returning from a 398-day absence at Wolverhampton, showed he had been allotted a fair opening mark, and a 3lb rise in the weights is unlikely to stop him, particularly with the step up to seven furlongs potentially unlocking further improvement.
Enfolding was an impressive winner at Wolverhampton on his most recent start in March and remains open to plenty of improvement having raced just twice in handicap company. A 9lb rise in the weights for that impressive three-and-a-quarter-length success demands more from the three-year-old, but he is in excellent hands with James Fanshawe and is significantly less exposed than many of his rivals.
