Three interesting runners to note under lights at Kempton
There's an interesting eight-race card at Kempton this evening and here are three runners to note
Fly True
5.45 Kempton
Fly True failed to justify favouritism on her first start for Ivan Furtado at Wolverhampton last month, but it is worth giving her another chance from such a lowly mark.
The last time Fly True tackled 5f at Kempton she won off a mark of 60. Admittedly, that was nearly two years ago, but she is now able to compete off just 46, while her trainer has a reputation for rejuvenating and improving recruits.
Urbino
7.15 Kempton
Urbino failed to give his running on soft ground at Doncaster in June, but he has been given plenty of time off since that disappointing performance and the form of his previous two efforts this season is hard to knock.
Urbino split Ghostwatch and Elgin at Wolverhampton in April and that form has been boosted, with Ghostwatch now rated 101 and Elgin 98. He was also by no means disgraced on his next start at Ascot when runner-up to Stream Of Stars, who was subsequently sent off 5-2 favourite for the Queen's Vase at the royal meeting. A reproduction of either of those efforts should be good enough.
Augenblick
8.45 Kempton
Augenblick lost her unbeaten record on her belated return to action at Sandown last month, but, on Racing Post Ratings, actually posted her best effort yet in finishing a close-up third on handicap debut.
She is entitled to come on for that seasonal return and, with just three runs under her belt, is capable of better, particularly with the step up to a mile looking likely to suit.
