Three horses to look out for across tonight's meetings

There is something for everyone this evening with all-weather action at Dundalk (3.40 start), jumping at Tramore (5.05) and two Flat fixtures at Newmarket (5.20) and Catterick (5.30). The Irish fixtures are on At The Races and the British ones on Racing UK, and here we highlight three horses to look out for.

Crossed Baton
6.20 Newmarket
Seven years ago Frankel announced himself to the world in this very race and it would be somewhat poetic if this newcomer could so the same for owner Khalid Abdullah. Connections expect the Dansili colt, one of two runners for John Gosden, to need the race but the trainer unleashed an impressive debut winner in Il Primo Sole yesterday and the Investec Derby entry is worth tracking in the market.

Demons Rock
6.30 Catterick
Bidding for a hat-trick following all-the-way victories at Chepstow and Chester, Demons Rock put up a particularly eyecatching performance last time given he was eased down in the closing stages and still won by two and a quarter lengths. The booking of apprentice Paddy Pilley offsets the majority of the 6lb penalty and ground on the soft side of good should be ideal for this in-form juvenile from the Tom Dascombe stable.

Seven Clans
7.25 Newmarket
Finished his winter all-weather campaign in good heart and there was a lot to like about his comeback run when third at Yarmouth at the start of the month. Neil Mulholland, who has his team in excellent order across both codes, has booked Jamie Spencer for the ride and the five-year-old looks capable of transferring his all-weather form to turf.
