'The weight would be against him' - no Cambridgeshire tilt for fancied Migration
Migration has already captured two big handicaps at major summer festivals but David Menuisier has warned an attempt on Newmarket's bet365 Cambridgeshire later this month is unlikely, with the lightly raced five-year-old set to be aimed at Pattern company.
The trainer's renowned patience has paid off with a horse who spent 21 months on the sidelines and was beaten off 94 on his return to action at Salisbury in June.
The son of Alhebayeb beat a competitive field in the Chesterfield Cup on the first day of Glorious Goodwood and then followed up when weaving between rivals to score at York's Ebor festival last month.

Following those successes, Migration was quoted at no bigger than 12-1 for the Cambridgeshire but with a new mark of 106, his trainer believes it is time for the five-year-old to target a higher grade.
"I've pretty much made my mind up and I think we’ll go for the Foundation Stakes at Goodwood on September 22 rather than the Cambridgeshire.
"Not that I'm a real statistician but the weight would be against him and it's a hard race to win off his mark. It wouldn't be fair to give him a hard race when realistically he has a lot of weight to carry."
Menuisier says it is too soon to say whether he will be represented in the £120,000 contest, given Soto Sizzler picked up a niggle when fifth on his most recent start at Sandown.
"He pinched something in his back and came out of the race quite sore," said Menuisier. "I'm not sure how long it will take for him to return to full training so I can't really give it serious thought."
