BETWEEN their various iterations, Middleham Park Racing could easily feature in the top ten list of owners in the country. The major difference between them and one of the other big hitters is that there is without fail a party atmosphere when they get into the winner's enclosure.

There were at least 30 present to receive Tawdeea after his late surge to win the Old Newton Cup by a length and a half from Gold Prince under Danny Tudhope for David O'Meara, swooping from off the strong pace to lead in the final 100 yards.
