The Prix du Jockey Club is not a race for big ratings. The beaten margins are often tight and Sunday's race proved no exception as St Mark's Basilica notched a length-and-three-quarter victory over Sealiway.

The first ten were covered by just six and a half lengths, which is typical for the race but stands in stark contrast to the Derby at Epsom, where Adayar beat the runner-up by four and a half lengths and the third by seven and three-quarter lengths.

Sunday's French Classic winner earned an RPR of 119, which matches his previous best form and ranks him just above the ten-year average RPR (118) for Prix du Jockey Club winners.
