Siskin bang on course for one of owner Khalid Abdullah's favourite races

Siskin, who produced a blistering performance to win the Irish 2,000 Guineas last month, is reported bang on course to try to emulate Khalid Abdullah's superstar milers Frankel and Kingman by winning one of the owner's favourite races, the Qatar Sussex Stakes.
Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said the Group 1 prize a fortnight on Wednesday is very much the plan for Siskin, who is set to face his elders - notably highly impressive Summer Mile winner Mohaather and Queen Anne scorer Circus Maximus - for the first time at Goodwood.
The unbeaten son of First Defence is the 6-4 favourite with William Hill for the Sussex after handing trainer Ger Lyons and jockey Colin Keane their first Irish Classic together when overcoming ten rivals, including six for trainer Aidan O'Brien, at the Curragh last month.
