Page Fuller, who has not ridden since the end of March, intends on making a comeback when the new jump season starts after breaking her wrist.

Fuller, who mainly rides for Jamie Snowden, was hurt at Plumpton on March 14 when she fell from the ill-fated Vital Sign.

She had four subsequent rides, including a winner, before seeking further medical advice.

"It was a bit of an annoying one," she said on Monday. "I broke my scaphoid in a fall and came back riding, but just wasn't happy with it.

"I had it x-rayed and it was broken. I still rode and it's quite a common injury that gets missed as well - it's a bit like having a sprained wrist.

"I was supposed to get it operated on a couple of weeks ago, but then I tested positive for Covid, so they had to delay the operation, which I've only just had done.

"It's frustrating, but I haven't missed loads and I'm hoping to be back for the first week of the new season, so maybe the start of May."

The 26-year-old, whose biggest success came on Anythingforlove in the Grade 2 Jane Seymour Mares' Novices' Hurdle in February last year, ends the campaign on 17 winners, but it has been her best in terms of prize-money earned, which totals £190,018.

"I'm happy enough with how the season has gone," she said. "Jamie's horses have been flying so it's been great to be attached to his yard. I was down on rides, but up on my winners from last season, which is a good sign.

"I'm happy, but as long as I can keep building on it. I'm really looking forward to next season, especially with Jamie's yard. We've got some nice young horses. It's been a good enough season for the first full one being a professional."
