Sea Of Class in 'critical but stable' condition as she continues to receive care
Sea Of Class is continuing to receive intensive veterinary care as she fights for her life following a career-ending bout of colic.
The dual Group 1-winning heroine underwent an operation last Wednesday which ended her racing career.
Trainer William Haggas said on Wednesday afternoon: "There is no news at the moment. In some ways I suppose that’s good news."
Haggas stated that the daughter of Sea The Stars was doing as well as could be expected given the situation. He added that if she was a person, the four-year-old would be classed as "critical, but stable".
Owned by the Tsui family, who bred and raced Sea The Stars, Sea Of Class pushed Enable close in last year’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, losing out by a short neck.
She returned to action at Royal Ascot last month but failed to act on the soft ground. Her two Group 1 triumphs came in the Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks.
