Saturday blockbuster set to showcase the best of racing - ITV host Ed Chamberlin
Saturday's Group 1 double-header at Doncaster and Leopardstown has the potential to deliver the best afternoon of the Flat season, according ITV frontman Ed Chamberlin, who has dismissed any notion of the sport trying to squeeze too much top-class action into one weekend.
The highlights on Saturday will be the Cazoo St Leger from Town Moor and the Irish Champion Stakes on day one of Longines Irish Champions Weekend, but the Group 1 Coolmore Matron Stakes at Leopardstown and four further Group 2 races spread between both tracks ensure the day's high-class action comes thick and fast.
Sunday's meeting at the Curragh then features a further four Group 1s, including the Comer Group International Irish St Leger, a race shown live on ITV4 alongside the entirety of the final meeting of the Sky Bet Sunday Series from Haydock.
