Tip Two Win, the pocket rocket star of Roger Teal's Berkshire base, is set to reappear at Longchamp in the Group 3 Prix du Pin a week on Sunday after delighting the trainer during an away day to Lambourn on Tuesday morning.

Teal is based in Great Shefford, a few miles away from Lambourn's famous gallops, but made use of the facilities as he put Anne Cowley's homebred through his paces.

Things went well for the son of Dark Angel last season as he was twice a winner in Qatar before finishing second to Saxon Warrior in the 2,000 Guineas.

He has not hit those heights since and struggled to get over his most recent trip to Doha in December. But he ran with credit in the Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot and Teal is putting a line through his effort in the Summer Mile when last seen in July.

"He's going to France next week," the trainer said on Tuesday. "There hasn't been many opportunities for him this year and he had that setback out in Doha, so it's been hard.

"He ran a big race at Royal Ascot in the Diamond Jubilee over a trip that was too short for him and he was disappointing in the Summer Mile, but maybe he just bounced a bit.

"I think the seven furlongs next week will be perfect and we worked him this morning over in Lambourn. David Probert had a sit on him and was happy, so he's working well and I'm very pleased with him."

A four-year-old, Tip Two Win has won four of his 13 starts and amassed £325,985 in prize-money.
