Trescothick bowled over as Sebastopol lands former cricketer's race at Wincanton

Sebastopol hit his rivals for six in the Tribute To Marcus Trescothick Handicap Hurdle, much to the delight of the former England and Somerset cricketer, who was guest of honour at Wincanton.

The five-year-old stormed seven lengths clear of Grey Diamond to land the £19,400 prize and looks destined to go on to better things.

Trainer Tom Lacey said: “He got a bit startled at the start so to win from there was even more special. It was a perfect starting point.
