Stanghow caps a marvellous week for in-form Brittain

York trainer Antony Brittain continued his remarkable week as Stanghow became his third winner since Monday in the feature 5f handicap.

Joey's Destiny won for Brittain at Wolverhampton on Monday and Cool Music scored at Beverley on Friday night. Stanghow became a third winner for the trainer, but he had to pull out all the stops under Cam Hardie.

Stanghow was given a prominent ride by Hardie and looked the likeliest winner from two furlongs out, but once he led inside the last he was hard pressed by Signore Piccolo. A photo was required to split the pair, but it always looked as though the Brittain run would continue.
