Spencer's aptly named winner crowns 'perfect memorial' on Windsor's finale

It was Windsor's final meeting of the campaign and there would have been few more popular winners this year than the Richard Spencer-trained Thistimenextyear, who took the first division of the Ben Woollacott Memorial Handicap.

The contest is run in memory of a racing fan who died aged 19 when falling from a ferry he worked on in 2011, and a big group of his family and friends were in attendance.

Their efforts in arranging the large social occasion were rewarded by a excellent day's racing and Spencer's aptly-named winner.
