Smart novice Khage shrugs off welter burden for Harry Whittington

Khage confirmed his status as a decent prospect when cruising to another novice hurdle victory carrying a double penalty.
With the focus largely on Aintree, there is a danger this excellent performance by the Harry Whittington-trained six-year-old may go slightly unnoticed.
He will likely prove a horse for the big Saturday meetings next season though, after brushing aside Oleg on the bridle in the 2m contest, which for the most part was a simple match between the pair.
