Shoemark gets Clipper Logistics partnership off to a flyer with Intrepid Italian

Kieran Shoemark landed his first victory in the colours of Steve Parkin’s Clipper Logistics since he was revealed as the number two rider to the leading operation, as he steered Intrepid Italian to success in the 6f handicap at Lingfield.

Shoemark was riding his fifth winner since racing returned last week with the three-year-old handicap debutant, who secured a comfortable two-length victory.

Intrepid Italian was stepping up in trip having finished second over 5f last time, and Shoemark said: "I rode him last time at Southwell over five and I think it was a mixture of him being a bit green and it all being a bit too quick for him. He finished his race well and this was definitely more up his street today.
