Sheikh Fahad on hand to watch expensive purchase Darain deliver in style

Sheikh Fahad Al Thani's second visit of the season to a racecourse proved a successful one when he pitched up at the July course to see his 3.5 million gns colt Darain extend his unbeaten sequence.

The full brother to champion Too Darn Hot backed up his recent debut win at Newbury when giving 7lb and a beating to front-runner Vottoria Light in the 1m2f novice.

Champion jockey Oisin Murphy had his hands full in the early stages after Darain was lit up from a bump at the start, but had plenty in reserve to justify cramped odds of 1-6.
