Rubenesque gives Davidson his second winner from just three Flat runners in 2019
When it comes to strike-rates few trainers can boast a better record than rookie Tristan Davidson, who made it two winners from three runners on the Flat in 2019 when Rubenesque landed the 2m5½f handicap under a canny ride from Jason Hart.
Based near Carlisle racecourse, the former amateur rider has a mixed string of 16. Following six Flat winners from 15 runners in 2018, he is enjoying a fine jumps season with 13 winners from 40 runners.
Rubenesque has failed to contribute to his jumps tally for she has yet to complete the course in her two runs over hurdles this year, falling on the first occasion and this month being pulled up at Market Rasen.
