There was no need to ask Roger Varian how he felt. The face said it all.

He had brought to York the best horse in Europe, perhaps even the best horse in the world. That, though, was only part of it. Postponed had missed one major target, the yard is still not fully firing and the owner was here. Ah yes. The owner.

It is obvious Varian and Sheikh Mohammed Obaid have an excellent relationship. Moreover, it is clear Sheikh Mohammed's cousin holds the trainer in the highest regard.
