Phew! Odds-on handicap snip squeaks home thanks to Darragh O'Keeffe
Those who like trying to buy money were made to sweat buckets before collecting on recent chase winner Thatbeatsbanagher after the six-year-old was backed into 8-13 from evens.
Punters clearly latched on to connections looking to take advantage of his hurdle rating being 24lb lower than his revised mark over fences after a smooth win in the retained first-time blinkers in a handicap chase at Killarney 11 days earlier.
Darragh O'Keeffe earned his winning percentage as he lifted home the JP McManus-owned Thatbeatsbanagher to hold off Naturally Blond by a short-head in a division of the 2m5f handicap hurdle and continue his strong start to the new season with a fifth winner and fourth for successful trainer Enda Bolger.
