Mulrennan toasts new relationship with Doncaster double

The working relationship between Simon Crisford and Paul Mulrennan is still young, but cannot help but flourish should they keep teaming up with fillies as smart as Dark Rose Angel, four-length winner of the mile maiden.

"It's nice to get a win for Simon, it's only my second ride for him," said an impressed Mulrennan.

Up against Lubinka and Stream Song, both with Fillies' Mile entries, Dark Rose Angel played the role of baby bear. Debutante Lubinka travelled well but did not find that much, while Stream Song only really got going towards the finish. The winner seemed to find the pace coming easy to her and streaked clear in the final furlong.
