Minella success shows the Price is right to gamble on training

Katy Price, who ditched a career selling mobile phones for one training racehorses, enjoyed a milestone victory in her second profession as Minellacelebration provided her biggest win to date in the inaugural £25,000 bet365 Staffordshire Plate.

Having spent more than a decade building her previous business, Price decided she could no longer enthuse about iPhones and 4G networks, choosing to hang up and chase her dream instead.

“I ran a mobile phone business for 15 years but, sat in an office, I thought, ‘I can’t do this’,” said the trainer. “So I started to train point-to-pointers and it’s gone from there.”
