Ditcheat Thoroughbreds got off to a flying start as Marracudja produced a scintillating display of speed and jumping to beat the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Ballybolley in the 2m novice chase.

The new racing syndicate based at Paul Nicholls' yard is the creation of long-time owner Ian Fogg, who was ecstatic to get off the mark at the first attempt.

"It's brilliant to get off to a great start with our first runner," said Fogg. "The idea of the Ditcheat Thoroughbreds is to get everyone coming out and having fun, which is what we've had today.
