'Loose horses everywhere': Gleno capitalises on chaos to land unlikely victory

Gleno snatched an unlikely victory in the chaotic 3m novice handicap chase where fallers, loose horses and changing fortunes combined to make for an enthralling spectacle.

Victory had been expected of 9-5 favourite Gleno after the Gary Moore-trained eight-year-old had scored on his previous outing at Lingfield last month, but for much of the race it looked unlikely.

After falling early on, Finalshot proved to be something of a nuisance at the head of the field and contributed to a mistake from longtime leader Top Up The Fashion in the closing stages.
