'I couldn't ask for a better start' - Parr pleased with 16th winner of season

Trainer Joseph Parr was full of praise for the "incredibly game" Hello Me, who gave the burgeoning trainer a 16th winner of the year in only his second season with a licence.
The three-year-old made it a course-and-distance double, having also won at the all-weather venue as a two-year-old, when holding on for victory by a half-length under Rossa Ryan.
Parr said: "She was drawn in [stall] 10 so the plan was always to jump and sit handy to keep things simple. If she was good enough she'd go and win, which she did.
"She won twice as a two-year-old and now twice as a three-year-old, but we'll probably keep her going for a few months into the winter and see how we go.
"She is an incredibly sweet natured horse with quiet temperament and tries hard. She's an absolute pleasure to train.”
Parr had an interrupted start to his training career last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but he has continued his upwards trajectory this season and has sights firmly set on continuing that trend next year.
He added: "With 16 winners this year already and 11 the first year, I couldn't ask for a better start to my training career – with 27 winners so far, I’m over the moon.
"Hopefully we'll get better quality horses to get to some nicer meetings next year, and obviously more winners would be the aim too."
Ryan on a roll
Rossa Ryan completed a quickfire double after Hello Me's success when he struck in the following 6f novice on Thunder Queen for his retained owners Amo Racing.
