Clogher-based trainer Austin Leahy did not have to drive the horsebox too far to record a double at his local racecourse – 19km, which is just a 23-minute drive, if Google maps is anything to go by.

A short journey to the races meant a short trip home to celebrate, but there could be a pretty hefty hangover in store for the connections of Drombeg Dream, who completed a 62-1 double for the stable when bolting up in the mile handicap.

The handicapper will surely have his say for that nine-length demolition, which is swaying Leahy towards thinking bigger with the three-year-old, who relished the testing conditions.
