Flotus flies to top of Royal Ascot betting after wide-margin debut success
Flotus emerged as the 5-1 favourite for the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot after a breathtaking four-and-three-quarter-length debut success at Goodwood.
The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained runner was well fancied in the betting, being backed into 7-4 for the MansionBet-sponsored 6f fillies' maiden, and victory never looked in doubt as she showed a smart turn of foot to win on testing ground.
That Royal Ascot target was confirmed as Flotus's next port of call with Ed Crisford clearly thinking she is a filly with a big future.

He said: "We're really pleased with her, especially on that ground. We were worried about it being soft as she's a good-moving filly but she did it really well. She went through the gears very easily and it was a really nice performance.
"When you win like that you justify going to Royal Ascot and I think we'll be heading to the Albany all being well. She's a lovely, strong filly with a bit of scope. She's very professional, and always has been, with a fantastic mind."
That success was one of three on the day for Silvestre de Sousa, who also scored with Rhoscolyn and Nuits St Georges. Just three jockeys shared all seven races as Jim Crowley and Richard Kingscote rode doubles.
Home win
Stormy Antarctic ended a five-year wait for a win in Britain and in impressive style, as he took the MansionBet Beaten By A Head Festival Stakes from fellow globetrotting veteran Desert Encounter.
Overseas, Stormy Antarctic has won in France, Germany and Italy while also appearing in Hong Kong and Canada, but this was his first domestic success since his Craven win in 2016.
Back in form
Hukum obliged as a 5-6 favourite for the Listed Tapster Stakes, holding off On To Victory by a length and a half. He was cut to 8-1 (from 12) for the Coronation Cup and 11-2 (from 6-1) for the Hardwicke by Betfair.
