Dundalk: Cromwell continues excellent form as Musical Rhapsody delivers
Gavin Cromwell continued his fine run of form under both codes when Musical Rhapsody landed the 1m4f handicap in a blanket finish where only two lengths covered the first four home.
The 7-1 shot had underperformed at this track in December but got her head back in front under a well-timed ride by Gary Carroll.
Cromwell has enjoyed nine winners from 33 runners in the past fortnight, operating at a 27 per cent strike-rate. The Navan-based trainer seems to be hitting top gear and will be hoping for more success at this weekend's Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown, where he has five entries.
Cooler schools rivals
Champion jockey Colin Keane landed the 1m2½f maiden on the Ger Lyons-trained Cooler, who went away impressively to score by two and three-quarter lengths.
The three-year-old was well supported throughout the day before eventually going off 5-4 favourite and was always in command. The daughter of Frankel had shaped nicely over a mile at this track in December and took another step forward to win with something to spare.
Cooler was not the only impressive winner on the eight-race card, with the Joseph O'Brien-trained Tosen Wish finishing to excellent effect to justify 9-4 favouritism in the 7f handicap.
