Too Darn Hot has never known his father, which in the world of bloodstock is how it tends to be.

One can only imagine what goes through his head on a day-to-day basis, but if he spotted Terry Doherty in Goodwood's winner's enclosure he might well have thought: "Daddy!"

As stud manager of Lord and Lady Lloyd-Webber's Watership Down operation, Terry Doherty attends the birth of all foals. On March 27, 2016, Too Darn Hot, a son of Dubawi and Dar Re Mi, was one such foal.
