Danny Tudhope delighted as he reaches 1,000 British Flat winners at Thirsk
Danny Tudhope showed just why is he is among the leading talents in the weighing room when riding his 1,000th British Flat winner at Thirsk on Monday.
A potential dark horse in the race for the Stobart-sponsored jockeys' title in Britain, Tudhope reached the milestone by winning the 6f selling handicap on Ninjago and then bagging the 1m4f handicap on Ingleby Hollow, who is trained by the rider's biggest supporter David O'Meara.

The 33-year-old, who has recorded top-level victories in Britain, Ireland, France and the US, said: "It's obviously a fantastic achievement and something I'm very proud to have done. It was even more special to do it at Thirsk, which is where I live, and to do it with all my family there was great.
"Without the likes of David and my agent Laura Way I wouldn't be here. It's all down to them."
Reflecting on his finest moments, Tudhope added: "The win on G Force in the Sprint Cup at Haydock back in 2014 definitely stands out for me. Being my first ever Group 1 win, that's something I'll never forget."
