Classy bumper performer Commanche Red looks exciting for Gordon

Commanche Red looked a useful prospect in bumpers for Chris Gordon last season and that impression was confirmed after an emphatic 16-length victory in the 2m3f novice hurdle on his first start in the sphere.
Last seen finishing sixth in a Grade 2 at the Aintree festival, Commanche Red put his rivals to the sword with Dan Skelton's Rebel Royal, a useful yardstick in himself rated 126, having no answer back in second.
Gordon was extremely pleased with the display and said: "That was a really nice performance. He jumped very well, relaxed into the race and found plenty when asked to win.
