Churchill success down to many more people than just Aidan O'Brien

Aidan O'Brien was rightly the centre of attention after claiming a record-breaking eighth 2,000 Guineas victory, but the message as connections began the celebrations was clear – this is a team effort.

Churchill came straight to Newmarket without a run this season and O'Brien said it was the confidence of those who work with the horse day in, day out, including his son Donnacha, that gave him the belief he would be ready to fire at the right moment.

"Donnacha does all the work with him and everyone at home was very happy," he said.
