Neil King: trains the progressive Comanche Chieftain
Mick Appleby has carved out a reputation for improving horses from other yards, and Neil King followed Appleby's lead with the progressive Comanche Chieftain.
Formerly with Appleby, the five-year-old managed one win on the Flat before being knocked down to King for 16,000gns last October.
A change of yard, and disciplines, has produced rapid improvement, with Comanche Chieftain's latest victory in the 2m½f handicap hurdle a third since joining King.
