Limato likely to make Paris trip after favourable forecast

Henry Candy said on Monday that the weather forecast for Chantilly means July Cup winner Limato is a likely runner in Sunday's Group 1 Qatar Prix de la Foret.

Limato was second in the seven-furlong race last year as the even-money favourite behind the since-retired Make Believe, when it was held at Longchamp. He has since established himself as a top-class sprinter, landing his first Group 1 at Newmarket as well as chasing home Mecca's Angel in the Nunthorpe at York.

"We're hoping to run on Sunday," said Candy. "The forecast looks hopeful and so long as the ground stays suitable that's where we intend to run."
