Business as usual for Doyle and Bin Suroor

Two days after being informed he is no longer first choice for Saeed Bin Suroor, James Doyle delivered victory in the 1m2f handicap for the Godolphin trainer as Memorial Day struck on his first start for nearly a year.
With William Buick assigned to ride Bin Suroor’s two runners at Newmarket, Doyle took three rides for three different trainers in West Yorkshire and it was business as usual as he claimed the £20,000 contest aboard the 5-1 shot, who won three times last year but was having a first start since last October.
“He’s done plenty of work and he’s shown what he’s been doing at home,” said Doyle. “He was progressive last year and hopefully he can get back on track.”
