While plenty of racegoers attempting the seven-day endurance test of the Galway festival will long to return to their beds come Sunday evening, Cork trainer John Joe Walsh would surely wish for this week to never end, having landed the €100,000 feature on day six of the Ballybrit bonanza with Ballyegan Hero.

Having already tasted success with Davids Charm on Tuesday with his only other representative at the meeting - and his owner's only other horse in training - Walsh produced an excellent training performance to bring about significant improvement from the six-year-old's most recent start at Roscommon.

It was another major success for champion conditional jockey Rachael Blackmore, who drew every ounce of ability out of her mount to see off the fast finishing Mine Now by a nose.
