Aljezeera rounds off her season with a flourish with Listed victory

Bath's loss proved Yarmouth's gain as the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Beckford Stakes produced a smart winner in Aljezeera.
The 1m6f race was switched following an infestation of chafer grubs at Bath, which has left the course able to stage races only over six furlongs or shorter.
Such was the decisive manner of Aljezeera's victory that it would probably not have mattered where the race was staged, as she pulled clear for Frankie Dettori to score by a length and three-quarters.
