There are two evening fixtures on the all-weather to look forward to as we prepare to settle in for the winter season on the synthetics. Here are three horses to keep an eye on tonight

Art Song
6.45 Kempton

It often pays to watch two-year-old maidens and novices at this time of year, and if the betting is anything to go by then Art Song will certainly be worth seeing.

An $800,000 son of the late Scat Daddy, the Godolphin juvenile is odds-on favourite to make a winning debut and is one of only two rides on the card for jockey William Buick.

It is not all about Art Song though. Juddmonte have two interesting debutants in Basilisk and Sash, while Hamdan Al Maktoum’s Amjaady made a promising debut at the course recently.

St Ouen
7.45 Kempton

Named after one of the 12 parishes in Jersey, St Ouen’s international connections are boosted by the presence of excellent 7lb claimer Thore Hammer Hansen in the saddle.

St Ouen is up in grade and will be attempting to make up ground from the rear, not the easiest thing to do at Kempton at the moment, but a light weight and a recent win should help.

Hansen is one to keep an eye on this winter. The Dane is the sort of jockey to do well on the all-weather circuit with plenty of his claim to be used.

Could It Be Love
8.00 Dundalk

Having come close to winning a Classic in the spring, only to be run down by Alpha Centauri in the Irish 1,000 Guineas, it would appear Could It Be Love has leading claims in this Listed contest.

However, the War Front filly has not won in six subsequent starts and her sole success remains a maiden on the all-weather at Dundalk in April.

She is one of four Aidan O’Brien contenders in a race in which several runners will be hoping to claim some black type but may not have pretensions of winning, giving her a good chance of getting her head in front again provided she can take up a handy position from her wide gate.
