Three runners who catch the eye on tonight's Chelmsford card
It is Thursday night, so that can mean only one thing: evening all-weather action from Chelmsford. There are seven races to enjoy on At The Races, with the first race coming up at 5.55pm. Here are three horses worth noting
Wissahickon
7.00 Chelmsford
Wissahickon was successful on debut at Wolverhampton last month and there are plenty of reasons to think he can do better still.
He was drawn wide and only just got up to score on debut. He is also rather well bred, being by leading US sire Tapit out of the dam of Rainbow View et al.
Robert Havlin is also the man in the saddle, and he is making up for lost time this year with several winners already on the board during the All-Weather Championships.
Show Stealer
7.30 Chelmsford
We are not long into the All-Weather Championships but could we see a dark horse tonight for the Fillies & Mares Final on Good Friday at Lingfield?
Show Stealer has been placed in both her all-weather starts and steps back up to 7f, the distance of the race on Finals Day, for the first time since the spring.
Trainer Rae Guest has a 50 per cent strike-rate with his runners in the last two weeks and former all-weather champion jockey Luke Morris takes the ride.
Golden Steps
8.00 Chelmsford
Golden Steps is back in action in Britain after spending much of his time since last summer racing in Qatar.
The six-year-old, winner of the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket last year, was picked up by Jamie Osborne and the Melbourne 10 syndicate at the sales in Newmarket this month.
He is starting back at a low level, this race is a claimer, but he is well favoured by the weights and could be an interesting sort for the winter.
