THE Richard Hannon stable, which has so often been strongly represented in Newbury's Weatherbys Super Sprint, relies on just one runner, Stormy Clouds, this year.

Winner of the valuable sales race a remarkable eight times since it was founded in 1991 with juveniles of the calibre of Lyric Fantasy, Risky and Tiggy Wiggy, the yard had six runners in 2010 and four in 2011, 2014 and 2015.

Hannon insists he is still very fond of the race, but simply didn't have many of the type of two-year-old needed to win it this year.
