Lumiere, not seen on a racecourse since disappointing in the 1,000 Guineas in May, bids to get her career back on track in the Listed Plusvital Sir Henry Cecil Stakes.

Sent off 13-2 second favourite behind market leader Minding in the fillies’ Classic, the Mark Johnston-trained daughter of Shamardal failed to come up to expectations, trailing home last of 16.

Winner of the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes as a juvenile, Lumiere takes a considerable drop in class as she returns to Newmarket for her second start of the campaign.
