AT THE bottom of the weights for Newmarket's valuable Nexus Infrastructure Handicap (3.15) over a mile are two Mark Johnston-trained colts that not so long ago would have been very unlikely opponents.

Riflescope has been plying his trade as a sprinter up to now, while Bathos returns to a mile after a couple of runs over middle-distances failed to bear fruit, the latter coming just last Friday.
