ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the six races on ITV on Saturday
1.50 Newmarket
"My Oddsboost" On Betfair Suffolk Stakes, 1m1f
Bright Melody arrives after an excellent winter in Dubai where he won one of his two starts and finished second in the other. Fitness will be on his side with market rivals Bell Rock and Maydanny yet to make their first starts of this new turf season. Further down, Mascat and Overwrite have shown good form in their early season assignments.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Mascat
0-8 in handicaps but with plenty of minor honours; very good 2nd at Ripon on latest outing
MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Conqueror Fillies' Stakes, 1m, Listed
An intriguing contest in which Lilac Road looks the most interesting based on her unexposed profile as she begins her three-year-old season. She takes on a couple of older fillies and a talented mare in the David O'Meara-trained Agincourt, who will go close if rediscovering the form of her 2019 season. Of the others, Amniarix will be competitive if carrying her all-weather form on to the turf.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Amniarix
Progressive on AW (promise on debut on turf); better than result last time; major player
2.25 Newmarket
Betfair Palace House Stakes, 5f, Group 3
There were no signs of Judicial slowing down last season as the nine-year-old landed Listed and Group 3 prizes. Provided his regression does not start now he looks to have a big chance of getting his season off to a flyer. Lazuli ran a good race at Meydan last time, while Garrus and Came From The Dark performed to high standards last season.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Judicial
Second in this race first time out in 2018 and 2020; better than ever later last year
Cliff Stud Thirsk Hunt Cup Handicap, 1m
Astro King has not finished outside the first three in five starts and got his season off to the perfect start at Nottingham early in April. Nugget has been equally consistent for Richard Hannon and is certain to be towards the head of the market. Acquitted and On A Session ran well on their first starts of the season and should go close.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Nugget
Bit unlucky behind Astro King on return and won Spring Cup at Newbury since; solid claims
Betfair Exchange Jockey Club Stakes, 1m4f, Group 2
A high-class race. Sir Ron Priestley, returned after a year and half off the track, showed he retains the quality which enabled him to finish second in the 2019 St Leger when winning at Nottingham in early April. Royal Ascot and Great Voltigeur winner Pyledriver was one of the stories of last season, while Al Zaraqaan has won four of his five starts and could yet prove top class for William Haggas.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Sir Ron Priestley
Second in 2019 St Leger; off since until making all in recent 1m6f Listed race at Nottingham
Qipco 2,000 Guineas Stakes, 1m, Group 1
An open first Classic of the season but Thunder Moon looks capable of claiming the spoils. He is already a Group 1 winner and had Wembley's number at the Curragh last season. Battleground could prove the pick of the rest and Mutasaabeq has yet to be asked serious questions in either of his starts. One Ruler and Master Of The Seas are Godolphin's runners, while Chindit should strip fitter after his win at Newbury last time.
SPOTLIGHT TIP: Thunder Moon
Exciting turn of foot to win National Stakes; soft ground may not have suited in Dewhurst
