Everything you need to know as Pontefract attracts Royal Ascot winners
Pontefract has the difficult task of headlining today's racing after five days of Royal Ascot hogging the news.
The Yorkshire track has done well to attract many of this week's stars, not least Ryan Moore and Danny Tudhope, who rode nine of the 30 royal meeting's winners between them.
Moore has seven rides and teams up with Sir Michael Stoute to ride Crystal Moonlight, whose dam is a half-sister to Prince of Wales's winner Crystal Ocean, in the feature Listed race (4.00).
There is no Oisin Murphy or Frankie Dettori and the champion jockey Silvestre de Sousa is in Italy where he rides King Power for Andrew Balding in the Oaks d'Italia (4.30) at San Siro.
Tipperary provides the other action on the Flat while Southwell and Hexham continue the trend of jump racing on summer Sundays.
