All you need for a day featuring Listed action at Warwick
With Cheltenham and Doncaster effectively bringing the weekend forward to Friday, you could be forgiven for taking a day off. It is not recommended, however, as there is plenty of entertainment with four jumps cards, including a Listed mares' novice chase at Warwick and some good handicap action at Taunton.
The other two meetings come from Newcastle and Tramore, while Chelmsford takes over for an evening card, starting at 5.15 after a break at the end of afternoon racing.

Final thought
Of the 17 recommendations in the Cheltenham review, point nine really stood out:
"The industry must support a major research project to develop a predictive model for identifying risk factors for all jump racing, inclusive of non-course factors, such as horse history and performance, rider and training factors . . ."
We have had so much talk on this subject that a hard-headed, rigorously statistical review could be one of the few means to shed further light. This is the part of the report that seems likely to have a lasting legacy, long after we have become used to 20-runner Grand Annuals.
