You must be nuts to ignore these golden oldies enjoying a remarkable run

With the jumps season starting in earnest, it seems the perfect time to shine a light on an unheralded stable it should continue to pay to follow.

Ann Hamilton might not have grabbed everyone's attention last season, but she went about her business with quiet efficiency, enjoying her best campaign with 12 winners from 37 runners, at a 32 per cent strike-rate and £25.33 profit (to £1 level stakes).

From a little over a handful of horses, the Northumberland permit-holder and her husband Ian, in whose green and red colours the string run, had four wins with Tommy's Oscar, three with Pay The Piper and two each with Nuts Well and Bavington Bob.
