You can't beat finding the National winner months in advance - so here goes

Part of this week has been spent asking people to tell me the Grand National winner for an expert jury feature in our Big Jump Off pullout (your unbeatable guide to the new season, free with Monday's Racing Post). Jay Trump in 1965 is believed to be the last Grand National winner to race in France next time. It’s a long way to go for a day out, which is all that’s desired for your typical Aintree contender in the preceding
autumn.
