Yorkhill in good order for chasing debut at Fairyhouse
We thought long and hard about what direction we'd take with Yorkhill this season. We had the option of keeping him over hurdles or sending him over fences and we came down in favour of a chasing campaign which begins at Fairyhouse on Saturday when he runs in the 2m beginners chase (2.10).
He did very well for us as a novice hurdler last season when he won Grade 1s at Sandown, Cheltenham and Aintree, ranging in distance from 2m to 2m5f and we're hoping he takes well to fences.
The signs have been good so far. He's jumped well in his schooling at home and, hopefully, all will go well. He's in good order and we're happy enough with him for his first start of the season.
