Wonderful memories of Desert Orchid 30 years on
I been a very frustrating year for Racegoers Club members – as it has for all racing fans, however on Tuesday night members enjoyed a very special Desert Orchid Tribute Zoom call that helped make up in some way for the days they missed going racing this year.
Colin Brown kindly hosted the call and helped to get the Dessie team – David Elsworth (looking dapper in an elf Christmas jumper), Simon Sherwood, Richard Dunwoody, Janice Coyle and Richard Linley – together.
The team turned the clock back and shared their best, worst and funniest Dessie memories – Elsie hadn’t seen Richard Dunwoody for ten years, but the banter picked up where it had left off! Before we knew it 90 minutes had passed and we wound the call up, but everyone could have happily continued.
